Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Jones Elementary and donating your time to help our wonderful school!
Prior to volunteering on campus, a volunteer application form, along with the required documents must be submitted online. A valid cleared TB test from your health provider or a Tuberculosis Risk Assessment Questionnaire is also required. The TB Risk Assessment can be completed in our health office by our nurse. The hours for screening in the health office at Jones are: Thursdays 7:30 am - 8:30 am.
A nurse at any school in SDUSD can perform a TB Assessment. If planning to visit another school site for the TB assessment, it is recommended that you contact the school directly to verify when their nurse is scheduled at the school, and what their process for the assessment is.
A valid government issued ID is also required for volunteers. We accept a valid state issued Driver's License, a passport, or a military issued ID. Please scan and upload your required documents within the google form as a PDF. This application form is for category A or B.
If you need additional clearance for a category C or D status, additional steps will be required.

Once your volunteer form and documents have been verified, you will receive an email notification letting you know that you have been cleared to volunteer.
In order to minimize impact to instruction, volunteer tasks can be completed in room 1. Please remember that staff use the work room to prepare lessons. Please give staff priority when they need to prepare for class.
